Dougie Freedman has said that there is a long way to go on any deal for Morgan Gould, not least because a fee would have to be agreed with Supersport.

Speaking to Croydon Today the boss said a decision would be made shortly on the 28 year old’s possible future at Palace after final discussions were had.

‘He’s done fantastically well but I think it’s only right I talk to the kid before I make any statement. There’s a long way to go, there is a fee involved and before we can even go anywhere we’d have to get the right deal. We’ll have a chat and see.’
