Board Are Backing Holloway

Despite all the press speculation and bookies odds tipping Ian Holloway for the sack, Steve Parish has said the board fully believe he’s the man to keep us in the Premiership this season.

It’s understandable that there will be speculation, Palace have only won one game in six in the league and we also lost our Capital One cup match, so sitting in 19th place it’s not difficult to see why Ollies head on the chopping block is a source of discussion.

To be fair as a newly promoted team, had we won all seven he’d still probably figure higher as everybody would expect us to go on a losing streak anyway.

In quotes carried by The Mirror co chairman Steve Parish said of the gaffer.

‘I believe in the manager and I believe in his ability to create a winning team. I’ve got every faith in Ian to sort it out. We didn’t get what we deserved in the first few games and that puts us where we are, but we’ve got to keep believing. There is a lot to be positive about.’

Parish adds that we’ve got a lot of new players to bed in, got to find who works best with other and the team and formation that suits everyone perfectly, then if we can add more of a goal threat and start finding the net on more occasions the picture will look a lot better, but everybody has to pull together to get the results we want.

No one can just “throw a team together”.
    2 points off 17th and 5 off 10th.
    Keep calm and carry on.
We always rated survival as miraculous anyway.

Just need to get them points on the board, so when we do a put a run together, we aren’t too far off the pace to make it count for something. Goal difference will be enough this season though won’t it.
