Yes it suprised me too, as Hudson looked to be QPR bound in slips Alan (super Al) Pardew.

The Crystal Palace skipper, who was an influential presence for the Eagles helped them reach the Championship play-offs last season, signed a 3 year deal for Charlton today.

‘Unfortunately for us, Mark was brilliant for Palace last season and I’m absolutely overjoyed with his signing,’ Pardew told the club’s official website.

‘He’s a player I have admired for a long time.

‘I think he will be a fantastic player for us, not only on the playing side, but off the pitch as well.

‘He is a strong character and represents everything that is good about professional football, and I look forward to working with him and seeing him in our team next season.’

Just one thing that gets me, if you have a side, thats is good enough to gain promotion, but needs that extra push, surley you just tweak it here and there, not strip it down and re-build, oh well.

Good luck Mark!

Well certainly a blow for you guys, do you think there is any truth in the rumours linked Colchester winger Mark Yeates to Palace?

Maybe Warnock wants to totally rebuild, usually he will start with buying about ten strikers!!!!
