Firstly a big Congratulations to Barnsley for reaching the Semi-Finals of the FA Cup, mind you they did have an easy route, and knocked a couple of mediocre Premiership sides out (lol) and if you thought they would be cup happy they stuffed Ipswich 4-1 in their next Championship game, they are a good advert for this league, and also prove anything is possible, which is why we shouldn’t take them for granted today.

WELL DONE TYKES

Vital Quotes:

Simon Davey: ‘We now have nine big games coming up and a huge FA Cup semi final to look forward to. Who would have thought we would be in this position at the start of the season?

‘We have more points on the board and are in the semis of a competition that we were knocked out of in the third round last year.

‘We have to make sure we pick up enough points quickly. We have to make sure we have enough points on the board so that we can really go and enjoy our game at Wembley.’

NW pleased with youngsters: Warnock told BBC London 94.9: ‘Games like that, against a good crowd at West Brom and a fabulous team, can only stand you in good stead.

‘The experience they’ve gained, you can’t do that in training.

Warnock added: ‘It’s good, it’s another feather in the cap, and it’s nice to see Victor gets his goal and hopefully many more to come.’

Crystal Palace Team News:

Late fitness tests on Victor Moses and Danny Butterfield.

Tom Soares should be back after his smack in the face V WBA.

Neil Danns (groin) Mark Kennedy(achilles) and Paul Ifill(who knows, bound to be something) are all out.

Player to watch: Victor Moses

Now he has the flavour of goal, watch them start flowing.

Barnsley Team News:

Martin Devaney (broken nose) and Marciano van Homoet (ankle) are expected to find themselves back in The Tykes squad.

Ex-Palace players Sam Togwell and Jon Macken could be selected in the starting line-up – Macken has weighed in with a few vital goals since his signing in January, oh dear and we know what happens next!

Player to watch: Jon Macken

Like many other ex Palace players, he could come back to haunt us, Jon is the Tykes second top scorer.
