Dougie’s Decree: Pleased With A Point

Seven unbeaten on the bounce now, and Freedman didn’t mind the draw today as he thought it was a good one against a very good Reading team.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the game, the boss said.

‘I felt that we defended very well, didn’t quite have that guile to open them up so in the end I was delighted with a point. We showed our battling qualities today, but couldn’t open them up. Credit to Reading.’

It wasn’t just seven unbeaten, it was also our fifth clean sheet in a row, but Dougie was also bouyed with the news of the Man United encounter.

‘I’m pleased, it’s good for the fans to go to Old Trafford. It’s been a long time since we’ve been to a Premier League ground so I’m happy.’
