Dougie Freedman has hailed the potency of our frontline following our 2-0 victory over Watford today.
Speaking to Sky Sports Dougie pointed to the fact that many times last year this was the type of game that we were comfortable in, but lacked enough upfront to take the points – but that is now the difference this season.
‘Even last year I studied games and thought our performances were very good but we didn’t have that quality needed in the final third. Now we have added Glenn Murray, Wilfried Zaha is chipping in with goals and with the performances of Sean Scannell, then all of a sudden we are turning good performances away from home into goals and winning games. I think that was the difference today.’
Freedman adds that overall the performance was very solid, and we more than deserved the strikes we got.
