With the somewhat shock news of Yohan Cabaye’s switch to the Middle East and the signing of a new contract with UAE side Al Nasr the other day, that deal has now been confirmed by the player himself on his Instagram account.
He was out of contract this summer but the club were hopeful, as were the fans, that he would commit to an extension, but that sadly wasn’t the case and he departs Selhurst Park after his three-year stint with us.

The 32-year-old arrived at Palace for a reported £10million back in the summer of 2015 from Paris Saint-Germain and he went on to make 109 appearances for us across all competitions, giving us a goal return of ten in that time.
Taking to social media to give fans a personal goodbye, Cabaye spoke of enjoying his time at the club and he thanked the fans for their support of him.
Whilst the news did come out of the blue for supporters, Steve Parish told Crystal Palace FC.
“I spoke to Yohan yesterday and he explained he wanted a different challenge. We wish him all the best and thank him for his time at Palace. We had some great moments together and he will always be welcome back.”
Very special signing. The day we got him in the squad was the day i felt our team became truly premier league standard.
