Gayle Fee Grows Again

Harry Redknapp has been in the press again today talking about his own interest in Dwight Gayle.

The striker scored 13 goals in 29 games for Peterborough last season and Redknapp told The Sun that he’d had him scouted last term and the reports he received were that he was ‘great.’

‘My chief scouts reports were all glowing. We were looking at him but then, suddenly, the price shot up and QPR got relegated.’

Redknapp continues to say that Gayle is a ‘pint sized frontman, a great moving and a terrific finisher.’

Before adding that Ian Holloway has taken a ‘gamble’ on him and although he could ‘fall flat on his face’ Redknapp doesn’t think that will happen because of his natural ability.

Why am I rambling about Harry Redknapp, well according to him ‘…the deal I’m told could end up rising to around £8.5million…’

If in anyway true, there must be some considerable clauses in there!

Paying big money does not guarantee any player will succeed.
Andy Carrol and a certain Marco Gabbidini? come to mind!

From the rumours at the Posh end, the add-ons include things like England appearances!! If this does happen, I’m sure you won’t mind paying the extra add-ons. Barry Fry is very good at negotiating all the add-ons! He does have massive potential and is nowhere near the finished article but he knows where the goal is and I’m sure he’ll get goals for you.
