Morgan Gould has said he is determined to take his chance at Palace during his trial and he would like nothing more than to secure a contract here.

Speaking to kickoff the 28 year old defender said he was upbeat ahead of the trial and that he was going to give it his all.

‘This is a lifetime opportunity and I am ready to grab it with both hands. I am ready to work hard and give of my best during the trials.’

Gould is national team mates with KG, and he’s hoping his friend can help him settle in.

‘I haven’t spoken to him yet about my trial with Crystal Palace, but I will count on his experience and advice to help me do well.’

KG for his part doesn’t believe that Gould will have any issues with impressing Dougie Freedman and added.

‘Morgan is a very, very good player and Palace won’t make any mistake signing him. It would be great to have another South African at the club – we already have a few extra supporters coming to our matches so I’m expecting a lot more if Morgan does sign.’
