Great Game For The Neutral

Ian Holloway believes that last nights match against Watford was a terrific advert for the quality and competitiveness of the Championship.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the game, Holloway admitted he was horrified with how we started the game, but he was delighted with the effort we put in to secure a point.

‘I don’t know what’s up with us, we spoke about them and what they might do but we looked so concerned about them. They’ve had two chances and scored from both and it looked like the game was over, however when we attack we’re fantastic and I want to do that. To come back from 2-0 down is obviously dodgy but we pinned them back and luckily we got it.We need to build on that and keep going.’

Holloway said he was a bit concerned about the game being brought forward for television but in hindsight he’s glad it was chosen because he thinks it must have been an absolute corker for the neutral.

Despite the absence of all the first choice midfield – the combination of the “Kids” n the “Olduns” plus Ollies tactical know how and other favourable results have kept Palace right in there.
