It’s now being reported that Crystal Palace missed out on two deadline deals for Ibrahim Amadou and Fred Ronnow.

Amadou was talking to both Palace and West Ham over a move from Lille and he had taken a train from France to London to try and force a deal through but it appears it fell down as Lille couldn’t recall one of their own loan players so they cancelled all talks with Palace even though he seemed to favour us and was said to be left ‘mortified’ that a deal couldn’t be done.

It was suggested it would’ve been a £2million loan deal with a £14million buy option come the summer for the midfielder.

Sky Sports are now saying we were also in for Brondby goalkeeper Ronnow.

The goalkeeper is 25 and has five caps for Denmark but similar to Lille, Brondby couldn’t sanction the deal without sourcing a replacement so the deal fell down for the same reason.
