Holloway Addresses The Zaha Question

Ian Holloway has talked about the Wilfried Zaha rumours, and stated he’d love him to remain at Palace.

Speaking in his Sunday Mirror column our new gaffer said that he had asked for no guarantees when it came to Wilf because everybody knows he has the world at his feet and the only real question is will he make the Premier League move with us, or not as time goes by.

‘You won’t be surprised to hear that’s the kind of player I want to work with. I am sure one of the first questions I will be asked is about what the future holds for Wilfried. My honest answer is that I don’t know. Would I like to keep him with me at Palace? You’re damn right I would. I’ve got him at least until the transfer window and I can’t wait to see him close up and in the flesh. Hopefully I can show him that I can be good for him like he’s been good for Palace. The first thing I’ll tell him is that I will never hold him back when it comes to realising his ambitions.’

I don’t think anybody can hold Wilf back although I’m sure all of us would’ve liked a guarantee on no January sale at least. But hopefully with Holloway’s record and style, Wilf will see that achieving the Premiership is doable with us.

    Palace have the “Football Cake”.
    The ingredients for success.
Its almost like it “Crept” up on them without anyone noticing.
Its a hard thing to get and even harder to hold onto.
If they really want long term success they must hold onto this cake and make sure the icing is even sweeter!

The joy is there’s still people coming through making all the right noises as well, should really be proud of the work of the Academy…secret now is keep them together for as long as we can instead of letting the starlets leave too easily.
