Whilst the players enjoyed a lap of honour after clinching a promotion place with a edge of your seat 3-2 victory over Peterborough, Holloway was in no mood to celebrate.

He instead moved his mind to the Play Off matches against Brighton.

Speaking to the Crystal Palace FC following the game, the manager said.

‘We’ve achieved one thing which is getting in the play offs and I’m totally and utterly focused on that. I’m not celebrating. I’m very pleased for the group, they deserve it, but now we’ve got to work and make sure we come up with a pan that can stop Brighton’s attacking football, stop them winning and then win one of the two games if we can against our arch rivals – which I know all about now.’

Holloway said that as well as being pleased for the players, he was delighted for the fans as he knows it’s been a strange season for them, and the game itself today he described as being as ‘ridiculous’ as our last few weeks have been, but he was delighted with the character of the team to keep going and get their rewards.
