Wilfried Zaha has dedicated victory over Hull City last weekend to the fans for sticking with Crystal Palace through a difficult season.

Hosting the side at Selhurst Park for the tie, Palace took a four nil victory with goals coming from Zaha himself, Christian Benteke, Luka Milivojevic and Patrick van Aanholt and the game did see Hull relegated on the day so Palace secured their survival for a record breaking fifth season.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC in his own post game press conference, Wilf explained.

‘The game was massive and we knew what we had to do and I am just so happy we were able to get the result in the end. When I saw the defender miss it I thought, ‘thank god` but obviously I had to relax and finish it, I am so happy I was able to do that.’

A capacity crowd was also welcomed by the players for the tie and whilst Zaha knew there were some nerves in the dressing room ahead of the game, again the bright start more than settled us and helped us on our way.

‘Obviously everyone was nervous because we knew how big the game was, once I got through and scored I think that started to take the pressure off and we were able to start playing a bit more freely and we got control of the game and I am just buzzing we won. The talent we have in the team is crazy but you have to do it each week, you have to turn up in games and that is what we did today and people saw how good we are.’

He ended by saying.

‘Today was a big win for the players but also for the fans because they turn up all season and its been hard but they have supported us the whole time so that was for them.’
