Crystal Palace fans continue to dream that Ruben Loftus-Cheek will return to Selhurst Park next summer and there are plenty who hope that it will happen on a permanent deal with the player himself more than intimating it’s about game time at this stage of his career as he’ll no doubt want to solidify his own spot in the England setup having travelled, and already appeared, at this summer’s World Cup in Russia.
Whilst the hope was a permanent deal if agreement could be struck on a semi-sensible fee with Chelsea, it seems our chances now rest on convincing them that another season long-loan would be in the best interests of everyone.
Late last night it was claimed.
Chelsea have told Ruben Loftus-Cheek that they will not entertain selling him this summer, as they see him playing a prominent role in the first-team (@GraemeBailey)

Now, even if this is true it certainly doesn’t close the door on us doing a deal and even if Chelsea want to keep him, the issue of playing time rears it’s head again, so a loan could be the best way forward for all parties to simplify things.
That’s certainly what fans are hoping as they reacted to the news coming through, as it was always an option anyway with what many thought would only be a rising valuation depending on how he did this summer.
Personally I reckon he needs another season in South London ???? ????

He's rubbish. Offload him to Palace as soon as possible. Get the £10 million and move on.

@CClarke90 he'll be back in South London before the end of July ????

Don't believe their weasel words Rubens. Hold out for a transfer.

Was always going to be the case. No one really thought we would sign him. Especially after getting called up to the England team. We don’t have the cash or the status to sign him.

Yeah we'll see ????????????

We’ll see. They’ll probably buy another average ‘superstar’ for silly money and RLC will be on the bench at best.
