Palace winger Jobi McAnuff has finaly left to join fellow Championship rivals Watford.

The Hornets made their move over the weekend after Derby pulled out of the race,the deal of 1.75m which could rise to 2m and the 25yr old has agreed a three year deal that will keep him at Vicarage road until 2010.

McAnuff join Palace in the summer of 2005, for a fee of £600.000 from Cardiff city, and became a regular and made a total of 83 appearances soring 14 goals.

Watford boss Aidy Boothroyd said: ‘I have been after him for a long time. He is two-footed, he can shoot, he can cross, he can make goals and he can score goals.’

‘I think he has still got a lot more to come but he is athletic, he fits the bill and he is hungry enough to want to play in the Premiership.’

‘He’s got a little bit more experience, he is a match winner and he is a different type of player for us. He knows the division and he knows what’s required to win.’

    Interesting signing for the Hornets, is he really that good as he did bugger all for Cardiff. Good return for the money tho!

    This is avery strange move. Best Palace player going to a rival club.Would have thought he would have gone to the Prem. Palace must be short of cash.
