Kagisho Dikgacoi has confirmed that South African teammate Siphiwe Tshabalala is holding a 10 day trial at the club and KG believes he will more than show his quality on the training pitch.

The vice captain, who scored the opening goal of the 2010 World Cup, joined up with Palace on Thursday and was expected to take part in full training today.

Speaking to kickoff (quotes from London24) the midfielder said of his compatriot.

‘He was there but we didn’t do much because we were doing some recovery work ahead of Saturday’s game. We will be back doing intensive training on Friday so he will be joining in with us then.’

As for whether he believes the player will make the grade, he added.

‘Tshabalala has what it takes to play in this league – even in the Premiership. He is an experienced international player, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he ended up singing. I hope he does well.’
