Clinton Morrison believes Crystal Palace have the qualities to mount a promotion challenge next season after their 2-0 win over high-flying Derby.
The striker scored his 97th Palace goal and Mark Kennedy grabbed the other in a comfortable victory over third-placed Rams.
The result ensured Sunderland and Birmingham their places in the top flight, leaving Derby to the lottery of the play-offs.
“It was great to get the goal and the win,” said Morrison. “It`s important to finish the season well.
‘Kenny Cunningham and some of the Irish boys at Sunderland asked me to do them a favour and I managed it, so I’ll be expecting a few happy texts and bottles of champagne.
“It`s been a disappointing season, but if we play like that next season, it could be us winning promotion.”
