Dougie Freedman has brought in four new players on short term loan deals over the last few days, and three made their debuts in todays opener against Peterborough.

In an effort to strengthen the defence Dougie Freedman has agreed 28 day loan spells for Manchester City’s Ryan McGivern and Stoke’s Andrew Davies.

21 year old McGivern has already represented Northern Ireland, gaining 12 caps, and can play at left back or centre half.

Davies as we know, has been on trial for a few weeks.

Speaking on these two deals, Freedman told Crystal Palace FC.

‘I am pleased to be able to agree with both Andrew and Ryan for them to be with us for the opening month of the season. Both bring experience to an area of the team where we need cover.’

Shortly after agreeing those deals, Freedman dipped into the loan market again and concluded deals for Leicester City and QPR centre halves Alexandev Tunchev and Peter Ramage.
