Palace’s failure to record a Premier League win over Man United continued so we know that we’ll now have to wait until next season for a chance to change this with a fourth successive defeat suffered on Saturday.

Man United had taken a first half lead but we got back into the game although a late goal saw the visitors go away from Selhurst Park with a two-one win, and leave them on the verge of securing a Champions League place, in the live Sky Sports game.

Realistically we knew it was the case anyway but any mathematic doubt was ended earlier in the day with other results conforming 100% that we would be in the Premier League against next season, as said something we knew was going to happen anyway!

There weren’t too many first half chances or moments of significant interest but the one that did matter led to Man United’s goal when Young’s cross was misjudged by Dann who handled to give Man United a penalty.

Mata (19) stepped up and he beat Speroni to make it one-nil at the break.

We improved in the second half and drew level when Puncheon (57) scored, with the help of a deflection of Blind, to level just before the hour.

This goal, improvement had come before it, saw the momentum swing our away with Bolasie and Puncheon becoming the focal points for us with McArthur going close to putting us ahead, his effort going wide whereas Man United has ‘keeper De Gea to thank when he made a fine save to keep out Murray from point blank range.

Man United retook the lead though when Fellaini (78) beat those markers around him to head home another Young cross with 12-minutes to play with another fine De Gea save once again denying Murray.
