Within the last hour there are reports that Crystal Palace are in talks with West Ham over Diafra Sakho and we appear to be battling with Watford for Vicente Guaita.
Sky Sports lead with the Sakho story and they claim that their sources say both clubs are in fact close to a fee for a transfer, with suggestions that Sakho held a medical at Palace earlier today.
They do however note that other reports deny that a formal offer has been made.
With the Senegal international making no secret that he’d like a move, he is yet to start a Premier League game this season but has returned four goals in 17 matches.
This could be one to watch.
On the Guaita front, Sky Sports also lean on claims from Spanish football expert Guillem Balague who believes that the Getafe goalkeeper will soon join either Palace or Watford this January window.
The 30 year old player is out of contract come the summer and Balague believes both clubs have a genuine interest in him and have made contact. Fuelling this rumours are the fact that he was reportedly left out of their last match because his departure is now classed as impending.
A fee of around £3.5million appears to be the magic number.
Watford think they have convinced Guaita to sign for them as Crystal Palace delay their answer. But negotiations continue and one of the two might get the goalkeeper for less than the ?8m of his buy out clause pic.twitter.com/pQ3Ed0YytB
