It’s being reported that Crystal Palace midfielder Joe Ledley could be set for a return to Cardiff City.

The 30 year old seems set for a summer’s departure from Palace when his contract expires next month as no new deal has been offered following his three year spell at Selhurst Park .

The Croydon Advertiser reported over the weekend that Ledley could in fact now return to Cardiff City to work under Neil Warnock in the coming 2017/18 campaign.

With only 21 appearances for Palace last term, a return of one goal, stiff competition from Yohan Cabaye, James McArthur and January signing Luka Milivojevic were preferred so it does seem likely the former Celtic man will move on, and having come through Cardiff City’s ranks as a youngster a return to them would make sense.

Should he leave Palace as expected, he moves on having made a total of 96 appearances across all competitions with a return of six goals.
