Palace Won’t Be Aiming Toulouse During Pre-Season

|

Crystal Palace confirmed yesterday that the Selhurst Park fixture in our pre-season warm-up stage would be French side Toulouse.

We will welcome the Ligue 1 side to our home ground on Saturday, August 4 and the game will kick off at 4pm. It will be the only home friendly of the summer as Roy Hodgson prepares for the 2018/19 campaign that lies ahead but coming seven days before the Premier League kicks off, this should be a good test for us.

Our opposition have been in the French top-flight since 2003, finishing third in 2007 where they lost out to Liverpool in the Champions League qualifiers. Having finished fourth in their league, they also had a Europa League adventure in 2009.

It will be the first time we have met them as opposition.

They did struggle last season though, finishing 18th and avoiding relegation over a two-legged Promotion/Relegation Play-Off against Ligue 2 side Ajaccio.

Ticket details for the game have already been confirmed by Crystal Palace FC.
