Steve Parish has hit back at Wigan’s Roberto Martinez over his ‘value for money’ comments over Wilfried Zaha.

Taking to Twitter after the Wigan manager decided to discuss things in public, Parish vented.

‘Some fascinating quotes if they are true from a manager about our player. So having nicked Victor due to admin and then selling for 8m (where I don’t recall them being worried about Chelsea getting value for money). Roberto would like it ever so much if we would roll over, in the meantime I guess he’ll just try to unsettle our player using the papers. We didn’t reveal any details of their bid we prefer to do these things privately and politely, different rules I guess.’

Really would be nice if the Zaha issue could be dealt with outside of the press but it’s not going to happen is it.
