James Scowcroft says he’s disappointed by Crystal Palace’s decision to let him go.

Scowcroft was one of nine players told they had no future at Selhurst Park earlier this week.

The Palace striker made just five starts for the Eagles this season after a hamstring injury but states he should have been given more time out on the pitch by boss Neil Warnock.

Scowcroft told the Croydon Advertiser: ‘Of course, I’m disappointed to be leaving – I felt at home at the club.

‘Palace is a good club and it’s sad to be leaving. ‘I’ve played just two 90 minutes of football this season – so after playing quite a big part last season, I’m surprised at the amount of football I’ve played this year.

‘I don’t know why that’s how it worked out, only the manager can tell you that.’

Good Luck Scowie, hope you get a new club asap.
