Dougie Freedman has thanked the board for dipping into their pockets to fund the training camp in Spain, and he says it’s been the perfect way for the lads to bond together.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC Dougie explained that the new players, Aaron Wilbraham, Joel Ward and Aaron Martin all had to take turns singing to the team with a bottle of HP Sauce as a makeshift microphone. Apparently Ward and Wilbraham preferred a touch of Hip Hop, whilst Martin opted for some RnB.

‘After the flooding at the Exeter training camp I went to the board and asked them to dip into their pockets to fund a pre season trip away to Malaga, which they did. Jamie Fullarton used some of his contacts in Spain to set the trip up and it has worked out very well both on and off the pitch. The players have trained very hard and the trip has allowed them to bond as a group.’
