‘Brazil, it’s just like watching Brazil!’ That’s, not breaking into song mind, what Alan Pardew said it was like with Palace on Saturday against Sunderland at times, and not just as the kits were kind of similar!

Was it that we were so good, or Sunderland so bad? Probably a bit of both but a four-one win at the Stadium of Light is all that we care about with Bolasie having a hand in all four goals, scoring three of them himself in an 11-minute hat-trick.

At half time, with little goalscoring chances for either side, there wasn’t too much sign of what was to come in the second half but a goal blitz was started by Murray (48) when he put us into the lead minutes after the break, you can’t allow him to get in behind defenders, as two Sunderland defenders did as he headed home Bolasie’s cross for his sixth goal in as many games.

Bolasie (51), who has been told that he needed to add more goals to his game, did just that as he made no mistake from Murray’s knock on a few minutes later. A composed finish from Bolasie (53), when he lifted the ball over Pantilimon, but with some more poor Sunderland defending, made it three just two-minutes later with the game over with three-goals in five-minutes and us away and clear within 10-minutes of the second half.

Bolasie (62) battled past the ‘keeper, and two defenders, to complete his 11-minute hat-trick when teed up by Murray again! That was our fourth goal in just 14-minutes!

Sunderland, not that too many Sunderland fans would have seen it as many left just past the hour when we had made it four, had the last say when Wickham (90) volleyed a last minute consolation to deny us a cleansheet with them also clipping the bar in injury-time but they were already well beaten.

An eighth win from the 12-matches Premier League games in charge that Pardew has had, what an impact he has made and a top 10 finish is very much on….
