Crystal Palace’s Premier League season continues against Man United at Selhurst Park on Saturday; with this a traditional 3pm kick-off.

For this match to (a) be on a Saturday and (b) played at 3pm will be taken, even if it’s unexpected as Palace look to not only react to a rare away defeat in the Premier League last Saturday but also to the heavy League Cup defeat to United’s Manchester rivals Man City in midweek too.

Alan Pardew & Wilfried Zaha

Crystal Palace Team News:

Alan Pardew could be without the influential Yohan Cabaye with him looking likely to miss out, like he did the five-one defeat at Man City in midweek.

Pape Souare and Joel Ward, who came off the bench to make his return in that defeat, are both doubtful too but Jason Puncheon (illness) can return.

Marouane Chamakh and Connor Wickham continue to sit out for Palace.

Player to watch: Wilfried Zaha

Man United Team News:

Man United will be missing Memphis Depay and James Wilson, both went off in the League Cup exit against Middlesbrough with Antonio Valencia (foot) and Paddy McNair (abdominal injury) also sitting out.

Ashley Young doesn’t seem to be fit enough with Luke Shaw (broken leg) out long-term.

Player to watch: Wayne Rooney

Match Facts & Stats

Palace will be keen to end a poor run of form against Man United, which has seen them win 12 of the last 14-matches between the sides, the other two ended in draws.

Man United have never been beaten by Palace in a Premier League game.

A three-nil win in May 1991, a League Cup win in 2011 aside, was the last time Palace managed to beat Man United, in the old First Division, with a repeat of that Selhurst Park show over 20-years more than welcome!

With six of the last nine-matches in the Premier League lost by Palace at home this Selhurst Park form needs to be sorted out if this season is to live up to the early expectation, or at least hopes.
