Reading look set to use out-of-favour striker Leroy Lita as bait to ease Palace’s striker problems in a swap deal with Eagles midfielder Ben Watson to the Madjeski Stadium, Royals manager Steve Coppell is a known admirer of the star midfielder and was linked with a big money move for the 22-year-old over the summer.
It has been reveled that Premiership chasing Reading offered Lita to the Selhurst Park club in August in return for Watson but Palace boss Neil Warnock rejected the proposition insisting that Watson would not be part of any swap deal, but with the striker problems he has now, Warnock my be tempted in the window.

Lita found himself surplus to requirements at Reading and made just three league starts for the Royal’s before sealing a loan move to Championship rivals Norwich City.
Since his loan move to the Canaries the 23-year-old`s has hit four goals in five games for Glenn Roeder`s side.
And it is understood that Reading will use Lita`s resurgence to tempt the SE25 club to part with unsettled Watson, who is out of contract at the end of the season, we will see when the transfer window reopens in January.
