Jonny Williams has talked about his pride at captaining the Welsh U21 side, and scoring his first goal for his country, but now he wants to add a full cap to his collection.

Speaking to the South London Press Williams said he was delighted to play 90 minutes in the recent U21 friendly, and grabbing his first goal, especially as he ended the game as captain was a delight, but now he’s hoping to impress Chris Coleman so he gets called back into the full squad.

‘It’s a case of when Chris Coleman feels I’m ready to play at that level. I’ll just wait, if that means playing for the U21s then I’ll be more than happy. I’ve come a long way with Wales, and hopefully I’ll get my debut at some point this year. That would be a proud moment.’

Williams also talks about his progression at Palace, his trust in Ian Holloway to develop him further and his appreciation for the way the fans have taken to him.
