Dougie Freedman has reacted positively following Zaha’s Young Player of the Year Award, and warned clubs off from making an approach in the summer, insisting Zaha can fire us to promotion so he won’t need to move there.

Speaking to the South London Press the gaffer said.

‘Wilf has got a five year contract, we’ll decide over the next five years when is the best time for Wilf to move on. First and foremost we are trying to get the club in the Premier League, hopefully he’ll help us do that.’

It’s certainly going to be a busy summer again despite his contract, but we hold all the cards and clubs will certainlyhave to offer more than Bolton did if they even want to tempt us into thinking about a deal.
