Yannick Bolasie, if the quotes the Metro are carrying that they say were from TEAMtalk, has opened to door for a Crystal Palace exit before the transfer deadline in a couple of weeks?
Ahead of the season Bolasie confessed his love for Palace, seemingly putting to bed any talks of a move to Tottenham, but now he’s said he’s ready to move on ‘to play for a top club.’
Isn’t he already at one?! Anyway, loyalty is something the 26-year-old says he has but doesn’t feel he can turn down a move, apparently to Spurs with a move to White Hart Lane ‘imminent?’
Bolasie has reportedly said.
‘I am a loyal guy, but this is a game and a business.
‘Opportunities to play for a top club do not swing by every day. You would have to look into it to see if it suits you and your family.
‘At my age it could be the right time, but it has to be right for the club as well.’
Unless a fee that matches the Eagles valuation of the Congo international comes along given he’s under a long-term contract he’ll ‘be loyal’ to that as he’ll not have a choice. However, I don’t think we can start having a go at Bolasie based on so-called quotes that haven’t been substantiated!
Like any player, Bolasie himself knows as he’s said ‘football is a business’, will have his price though with it up to ‘a top club’ to match this….
