Frank de Boer is set to add countryman Bruno Martins Indi to the Crystal Palace squad.

Martins Indi enjoyed a successful loan at Stoke last season and had been expected to return to the bet365 Stadium but failure to wrap up a deal sooner has seen Palace step in, according to Sky Sports.

Stoke had taken Martin Indi on loan last season with the view to a permanent transfer. However, having made 35 Premier League appearances for Mark Hughes’ side last season, that option expired on 1st July without a deal being agreed.

Now Palace have reportedly agreed a deal with Porto for the Dutch international.

De Boer, looking for a defender following the return to Liverpool of Mamadou Sakho, who isn’t coming back to Selhurst Park, has stepped in and Martins Indi, under contract at his Portuguese club for another year, is set for Palace.

Sky said he’ll join the Eagles ‘subject to agreeing personal terms and passing a medical.’
