It’s being reported that Plymouth boss Carl Fletcher is one of the names on our boards’ shortlist to replace Dougie Freedman.

Sky Sports suggest that the 32 year old has impressed club officials with his performances at Plymouth especially given their recent problems off the pitch, and the fact he’s done well on a small budget, and shown he can develop young players, which are obviously the key issues at Palace as we continue to build.

There isn’t any confirmation of these rumours, but we will be looking for someone of Fletcher’s ilk, as our future lies in our Academy.
