Crystal Palace’s deadline day business is likely to go down to the wire and could yet see several players cross the line?
Palace have already been linked with one Merseyside based player – Liverpool’s Mamadou Sakho – but another is now being linked. The Eagles are expected to sign Everton’s Arouna Kone.
Sky Sports News – via the Croydon Advertiser – has reported a loan deal will be signed off for the Ivorian should the striker successfully complete his medical.
33 year old Kone has played just six games for Everton this season but has scored two goals albeit both in a League Cup win against Yeovil.
The former Wigan striker scored seven goals in 31 appearances last season. However, three of them came in one game as he score a hat trick against Sunderland – when Sam Allardyce was in charge – in a 6-2 victory.
A confirmed departure has seen Crystal Palace FC reveal Noor Husin has left for a loan spell with Accrington until the end of the season.
The 23 year old midfielder has been allowed to leave Crystal Palace – he had been involved in the first team squad this season – in order to get some regular football under his belt with the League 2 side.
