Ian Holloway has called our performance against Millwall ‘solid’ and he said he was pleased with the spirit shown by the team to pick up a point.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC following the goalless draw yesterday, Holloway has eyes on a victory at Peterborough to ensure our Play Off place.

‘We started it pretty strongly, we ended it pretty strongly and I thought it was a very good game. You’d never know that it was that important would you? I thought both sets of players were absolutely terrific, put everything into it. The fans couldn’t ask for more than that. We were definitely a threat.’

Holloway says he warned the players ahead of the game because of the nature of the derby and he feels that it was a fantastic ‘advert’ for the division on the night.

We could have of course secured our play off position already, but it will go down to the Peterborough game, and the importance of that isn’t lost on our manager.

‘I’ve been confident in my team all along. The fact is we’ve had a horrendous run and it can take over your whole persona, in other words all you can remember is something going slightly wrong for you. But we’re one of the lucky teams, at the right end. We’ve still got a fantastic chance. We need one more point and with a performance like that, I can see us getting that.’

Ian’s not alone in hoping that, the play off run and our form this season has surprised everyone and raised expectations far beyond what they were at the start of the season so it would be a bitter blow if we fell at the final hurdle as we deserve to be in those play off spots and have our chance.

But it’s in our hands, unexpected or not, we find ourselves there and the players have to give it one final push, take the confidence and basically it’s three cup finals for a promotion dream.
