Alan Lee, in the final year of his Palace contract, said that there had been no sign of any talks about new terms with Crystal palace.
‘It has come us a huge surprise,’ Lee told the South London Press. ‘In the last couple of weeks I was hoping to earn another contract at Palace but then I got wind they had accepted a bid from Huddersfield.
‘Once a club does that and the manager and chairman both agree to it then you can’t hang around.
‘I’m lucky that I had a good club like Huddersfield in for me. They are going places and a lot of people in football that I’ve spoken to recently have said what a good team they are. I’m viewing this as a positive thing -I want to go somewhere that I’m wanted. I know the manager has tried to buy me before and I’m really looking forward to it.’
