Over the weekend it was being reported that Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has asked Crystal Palace to keep him in the loop when it came to the future of Wilfried Zaha.
With Wilf back to his dangerous best following a less than successful move to Old Trafford and Manchester United the other year, the now Ivory Coast international has certainly been taking the plaudits this season and we did reported turn down interest from Tottenham Hotspur during the January winger so his stock has been back on the rise for a while.
The Daily Mail suggest that Guardiola has made Wilf one of his targets for interest this summer as he has his eye on adding at least five players to bolster the overall depth and options available to him at the club.
In fairness it seems the main driver behind this speculation, other than his scintillating form, is the fact that with him now spoken about in the £30million bracket, he’s only on half of what Christian Benteke earns which is a reported £120,000 a week so it’s a financial thrust without anything else backing it up.
