Crystal Palace reserves managed a 2-1 victory away to Aldershot Town.

Kieran Djilali and Nathaniel Pinney were on target in the win which pushes Palace up to third place in the Combination League table.

Palace also fielded 19-year-old right-back Takura Mtandari who is on trial from Tottenham and set to leave the North London club in the summer.

Djilali gave Palace the lead in the 28th minute after connecting onto a long pass down the left wing before bending a shot into the far corner off the post.

The game was won on 69 minutes when Pinney nodded Mtandari’s right sided cross beyond Shots keeper Craig Holloway.

Aldershot grabbed a consolation in the second minute of stoppage time when James Clarke headed home Ryan Hall’s free-kick.

Palace: Thorp, Mtandari, Hills, Adelakun (Parsons 65), Nnamani, Holland, Cadogan (Goldsmith 79), N’Diaye, Kenlock (Roberts 65), Pinney, Djilali.
