Out-of-favour Palace midfielder Carl Fletcher will not be offered a new contract when his deal runs out at the end of the season.
The Wales international`s future has been in doubt all season after he was transfer listed by boss Neil Warnock and then shipped out on loan to Nottingham Forest.
And Warnock has told the Advertiser that Fletcher will leave the club in the summer if he does not find a new club before then.
He said: “I won`t be offering Carl a new deal and he knows that.”
However, it is possible that Fletcher will be on his way out of Selhurst Park before the end of the season.
There have been a number of Championship club`s who have tabled loan bids for the 28-year-old holding midfielder. But with Fletcher out of contract in the summer, the Eagles boss will not allow the former Palace skipper leave the club on loan until after the transfer window closes.
He said: “We`ve had a number of loan bids for Flecther – but we will hold off until the end of the transfer window. “We would rather get a fee for him so we will wait and see if anyone is willing to table a permanent bid for him and if not we will consider letting him leave on loan before the loan window closes.”
Meanwhile, the future of James Scowcroft remains unclear after Warnock revealed he has also received loan bids from Championship club for the veteran striker.
Like Fletcher, Scowcroft is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to hear whether he will be offered a deal extension. The former Ipswich and Leicester hitman is currently working his way back to full fitness after a long-term hamstring injury.
And Warnock has said he has received loan offers for the 33-year-old, he is not prepared to let him leave just yet.
He said: “We`ve had loan offers for Scowy as well but I can`t let him leave until we see what happens with Shefki [Kuqi] and whether he will be leaving the club.
“If Shefki does leave the club then the likelihood is that Scowy will back back into contention.”
However, the Eagles boss has confirmed that he has received no more new firm offers for Ben Watson.
Warnock told the Advertiser last week that two Premier League clubs had been in contact with regards to the midfielder`s availability.
But Warnock said: “It`s been quiet since the weekend with regards to bids for our players.”
