The League Managers Association has picked out Crystal Palace’s victory over Liverpool and declared it their Performance of the Week.
The five man panel – made up of LMA Chairman Howard Wilkinson, Sir Alex Ferguson, Joe Royle, Dave Bassett and Barry Fry – decided earlier this week that our performance against Liverpool ahead of the international break was worthy of their gong.
Manager Alan Pardew received a specially commissioned trophy at the training ground in recognition of the nomination and Palace did of course become the first side to beat Jurgen Klopp’s new side courtesy of goals from Yannick Bolasie and Scott Dann.
Well I’m not going to argue with it!
