The Premier League season continued with the latest round of games played over the weekend.
Chelsea and Tottenham weren’t in action so it was Champions League and relegation spots up for grabs – Sunderland and Middlesbrough are virtually down but Swansea’s win gives them a good chance.

Bournemouth made the most of playing 70 minutes against 10-men Middlesbrough – the Cherries were already two up – by running out 4-0 winners over second-bottom Boro, who are nine points from safety with five to play.
Despite playing with 10-men from 25 minutes onwards Hull’s 2-0 win over Watford at the KCOM Stadium kept City two points above the bottom-three.
A first Swansea win in seven – a run that included five defeats – came when the third-bottom Swans recorded a crucial 2-0 victory over Stoke to remain two points from safety. The Potters, 11th, have now lost five of the last six.
West Ham’s unbeaten run was extended to three as Everton’s European hopes were dealt a blow in this 0-0 draw at the London Stadium.
A second straight defeat means Burnley, 16th, are now just five points above the bottom-three and facing a nerve final four game. Manchester United on the other hand moved to within a point of rivals Manchester City, fourth.
Third-placed Liverpool, having played two more than both Manchester clubs, could see their Champions League spot taken away from them following a defeat at Anfield against Crystal Palace – this 2-1 win for Palace, 12th, took them seven points clear of the bottom three.
