Wilfried Zaha was named the Fans’ Player of the Year for the season of 2016/17 this weekend and he picked up his award following he victory over Hull City.

His second minute goal on the day sent us to a four nil victory and Hull City were officially relegated, meaning Palace are now mathematically safe from the drop.

His goal on the day also took him to nine for the season.

Accepting the award on the pitch following the game, Zaha told Crystal Palace FC.

‘The season has been a hard one but I am glad the fans stuck by us. It means so much to me to win the award and I am buzzing. We couldn’t have done it without the fans, they are cheering us on constantly and this win today is for them, we appreciate everything they do.’

Zaha has taken the award for the second consecutive season now, so congrats to him.
