Wilfried Zaha has said that he believes Crystal Palace can now really compete with the big boys given the squad we have this season.

Vital Report – Norwich City 1-3 Crystal Palace
Stats: Norwich v Crystal Palace
Following the opening day trip to Carrow Road and three points coming courtesy of a three one win, Zaha told Crystal Palace FC that he was confident we now had players with the experience to pick that final quality pass and also calm a game and nerves in shaky moments, and he feels that means we are definitely ready to kick on in 2015-16.
‘We didn’t start the game in the best way really, but we managed to get a hold on the game and managed to score our goals when we had the chances, so we’re happy.’
With Wilf finding the net himself, to open the scoring on the day before Delaney and new signing Cabaye got in on the act, he went on to say that once we’d switched things round a little he really felt we were dangerous on the break.
‘I think the team seems a bit more dangerous going forward, we’ve got the players now to pick out the passes, me and Bolasie are just buzzing about that. Every run we make, we know we’re going to be found, so it’s happy days for us!’
With work being done on our shape and intent over pre season as manager Alan Pardew continues to stamp his mark on the squad and what he wants from them, Zaha went on to finish his interview by saying that our new style and the tweaks we’ve made he feels definitely means we can push on up the table in the coming year.
‘Before, what we basically told ourselves was to defend throughout. But now we’ve actually got players that can settle it down and find the pass, so I think we’re ready for teams like that this season.’
