Manager Alan Pardew has praised the spirit of the Crystal Palace side following today’s game against Stoke City.
Making the trip to the Britannia Stadium to face off against Mark Hughes side, Palace took the two one victory with goals coming from Connor Wickham and Lee Chung-yong.
Having opened the scoring with Wickham’s 45th minute penalty in the game, Stoke levelled matters with just under 15 minutes remaining with a spot kick of their own, but the main joy for Pardew was that inspite of a greater number of chances for the hosts and them shading possession on the day, Palace kept going until the final minute of the match ‘not settling’ for the draw on the day, and in the end he saw the side get what he felt were their just rewards.
