Crystal Palace’s Premier League season continued with a two-one against Stoke at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday with a late winner seeing Palace level on points with fourth placed Spurs.

Palace had the chance to go ahead at the end of the first half when awarded a penalty for a Glenn Whelan foul on Wilfried Zaha. Connor Wickham converted that but Stoke had a penalty too 15-minutes from time with Damien Delaney handling in the area.

Bojan scored, which looked like it would see Stoke gained a point from the game with it ending in a draw until Lee Chung-yong, off the bench a few minutes earlier, powered a 30-yard drive past England ‘keeper Jack Butland two-minutes from time to win it for Palace!

These were the other results.

Chelsea quite possibly, some would say probably, would have beaten Sunderland as they did anyway with the post-Jose Mourinho era beginning with a three-one win for the Champions at Stamford Bridge but it’s Leicester, who beating the Blues that ended his second spell, that will be top at Christmas after a three-two win over Everton at Goodison Park.

Bournemouth did Man United the week before and this time round they won again with a two-one win at West Brom, the ‘surprise’ defeat United suffered at Bournemouth last Saturday was most definitely bettered by Norwich’s shocking of the Red Devils at Old Trafford with the Canaries going away with a two-one win!
