Alassane N’Diaye has admitted that former Southender Adam Barrett was key to his season long loan spell.
Speaking to Southend United’s official website N’Diaye said Barrett convinced him that it was a great club to be at, as long as he put the effort in.
‘I spoke with Adam before signing and he told me that Southend was a good club, he said it would be a good experience if I put in the hard work.’
N’Diaye joined before Southend players return for pre season training, so he’s going to slot right in from the get go and should have a good chance of working himself into the team and impressing.
‘It’s a one year deal and I am looking to get some games and some experience and then we’ll see what happens at the end of that. I will work harder than before to prove myself.’
