Crystal Palace has announced that Eddie Izzard is to become an Associate Director at the club, and he only one aim for the club.

Speaking to Crystal Palace FC Izzard said he wasn’t sure how he could help the club, but described himself as a ‘bad loser’ and a ‘determined bastard’ – either way he just wants the club to win every game until the end of time.

‘I’m very happy to lend my support by becoming an Associate Director. With Dougie as our manager and the new players coming up through the Academy, I hope that Palace will be pushing forward to new heights. All I really want is for Palace to win every game from now until the end of time, that’s all.’

Izzard says that at points (when we’re winning) he’s been fan, but because he tends to get wound up when we are losing he’s been a supporter at other points. Swearing in front of the children and shouting at the TV in pubs – who doesn’t do that? He says Palace brings out the teenager in him and just can’t mature in that respect. Again, I’m not sure many do?

As for how he can help the club, he adds.

‘What I can actually do, I’m not sure. But if you know anything about me, I am a determined bastard and I don’t like to give in.’

If nothing else, it adds to the PR growth at the club!

Everyone knows that Palace are the laughing stock of South London, so adding a comedian into the mix makes perfect sense.

Another clown to add to the circus. That along with your cheerleaders, Ultras and replica shirt wearing mongs makes your laughing stock of not only South London but English football. Sad little men.

Didn’t take long, going to try and win a game this season if we’re such a joke?
