Crystal Palace just managed to hold on to a 3-2 win to continue their unbeaten pre-season run in an exciting encounter at Underhill.
Palace started with a strong line up which produced 3 first half goals, Barnet defender John Glele managed to divert Tony Craig’s cross into his own net on 18 minutes,
six minutes later, a 25-yard screamer to the top corner from Ben Watson doubled Palace’s tally.
In the 28th minute, Paul Ifill got on the end of Matt Lawrence’s long pass to finish from close range.

With several changes in the second half Palace concided 2, Ashley Carew pulled a goal back for Barnet in the 69th minute, inside the six-yard box,giving Flinders no chance, and in the last minute, Ismail Yakubu got a second for the with a tap in header.
So now Peter Taylor must be getting a rough idea of his first team choice, the next four games will show what we have got to look forward to this season.
