Carl Jenkinson could become a Crystal Palace player this summer as Sam Allardyce, who had him on loan from Arsenal when at West Ham, is still keen on the former Charlton defender.

It’s been claimed the signing of the right back will be a ‘top priority’ for Allardyce this summer as the interest in signing him has been ‘stepped up’, according to ESPN.

Allardyce’s interest hasn’t been hidden, this is why the Palace boss tried to make him one of his first signings, if not the first, during the January transfer window. That deal, for whatever reason, didn’t happen at the time.

This week it has already been reported Jenkinson, 25, would form part of a swap-deal proposed by Arsenal, including England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, that would take Wilfried Zaha to the Gunners? Not something I think is that likely, the belated arrival of Jenkinson at Selhurst Park? Perhaps so.
